Flowers in Green

Posted by Picasa
TGIF!!! What a WONDERFUL, VERY BUSY week! VBS has been a huge success and we had a total of 248 kids---way beyond anyone's expectations. It made for alot of shuffling around, adding more classrooms, begging for more volunteers, buying lots more snacks, etc., etc. God was VERY good and like I said Monday---"If God brings them, He'll provide for them" and He did!
On to other things: I made today's card a few weeks ago for an Intermediate Copic class I taught. The class wanted to learn about airbrushing so thus the reason for this card. We airbrushed on the larger white rectangle with three colors of green Copic markers, then sprayed the stamp with Blender Solution and quickly stamped the image (so as to not let blender solution dry out) and after lifting up the stamp, the ink was removed and left the flower image. I loved how this turned out. Also like the monotone effect of this card.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Flower-Stampendous, SentimentHero Arts
Paper: CS-Bazzill, DP-Deja' Views "Banana"
Ink: Memento Bamboo Leaves
Ribbon: Michael's
Button: JoAnns Fabrics
Border Punch: Martha Stewart
Copic Markers: YG23, YG63, G94
I sent this card to one of my neighbors that relandscaped her yard this year and it's so pretty and I wanted her to know how much I enjoy going by her yard every day. Hope she liked it!
Hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing weekend and thanks for coming by today!
Hugs and God Bless!

Something BIG! (Sweet Sunday Sketch; Curtain Call Color, Speedy The Cat)

Happy Hump Day! Today I have a card I made to give to my son and daughter-in-law that are pregnant and due in late Jan. 2011. I love Mo's Digital Pencil and Jean Cross told me they had a great pregnancy image. When I saw the sentiment stamp ("This could be the start of something BIG") at Rosie's Roadshow, I knew I just had to have it to go along with the pregnant lady! Ha! Ha!
I'm doing three challenges with this card---Sweet Sunday Sketch, Curtain Call Color, and Speedy The Cat's Friends Saturday Challenge "Use a Punch".

Fourth of July---Only a week late!

Posted by Picasa
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all are great! What a busy summer it's been! I'm actually out the door to Vacation Bible School, but wanted to post this week late 4th Of July card---I did make and give it to our neighbor on time, but just getting it posted now.
Our VBS has exploded this year and as of Sunday afternoon, we have 191 kids signed up and expect walk-ins this morning! It's a GREAT problem to have! We are "Going To Egypt to visit Joseph From Prison to Palace". It's two churches combined and you would not believe the amazing work and many, many hours put in by a ton of volunteers! The kids are going to love it! Our pastor said at church Sunday morning that these kids will remember this the rest of their lives!!! I'll post pictures later this week!
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Rosie's Roadshow (I LOVE these cute stamps and will use them alot!!!)
Paper: CS- Bazzill
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: Michael's
Stickles: Star Dust on grill
Star Brads: K and Company
Copics: C3, C5, Y15, Y17, YR07, R17
I did not mask the chiken and grill, but wish I had---it looks OK, but would have been better had I done it right! ---I was in a hurry! Oh well---Live and Learn...
Thanks for stopping by today ---I really appreciate it!
Hugs and God Bless!
