Living Life Right

Good Monday Morning!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and are up and ready for a new week---don't the weekends fly by???
I got the best news ever Friday afternoon---my oldest son and his bride of two years are pregnant! She is only about 4 weeks and due late Jan. 2011---we are all really excited and praying for a healthy pregnancy!
Today my card is a simple, but effective monotone card. I usually use much more color than this, so it's a little hard to stick with only one color, but I think the effect is quite nice.
Card Recipe:
Stamps:Flower-StampinUp, Sentiment-Inky Antics
Paper: CS-Hobby Lobby; DP-Anna Griffin
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: Michael's
Copic Marker:Posted by PicasaR17
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you all have a fantastic Monday!
Hugs and God Bless!

Chocolate Coneflowers

Happy Thursday Fellow Stampers! Just a quick note today---I'm spending the day working on Vacation Bible School. It's actually not till July 12th, but we're trying to get a jump on it! Lots of fun AND lots of work too!
Card Recipe
Today my card is an older one that I made last year after watching a GinaK tutorial on the bleaching technique---aren't her weekly tutorials great! I've learned so much watching them every Wednesday. This one was so easy---just put your stamp in bleach instead of ink and stamp image on darker CS. The bleached result is so pretty and looks alot more complicated than it really is! The inside sentiment says: "...makes me smile". I just love that!
  • Stamps: Coneflower-Hero Arts; Sentiment-Great Impressions
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Papers: CS: Hobby Lobby, DP: NRN Designs
  • Ribbon: Michael's
  • Brads: American Crafts
  • Corner Rounder: Stampin'Up
  • Bleach
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs and God Bless!

Purple Flowers Thanks

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! I for one hope I never forget the true meaning of the day (not just the official start of summer :-), but the men and women who put their life on the line or have sacrificed their lives so we can enjoy our freedom. I take that freedom for granted sometimes but we have been so blessed in this country and we should never forget why!
Today's card makes me think of summer and I've always loved the combo of yellow and purple. Hope you like it too!

*Border Punch: Martha Stewart
*Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft
