Wedded Bliss

Hello Everyone! It's Monday ---again!!! And I hope you all had a great weekend!
Saturday night we went to a fundraising gala event for Phoenix House (a rehabilitation inhouse program for addicts, both children and adults) with facilities all over the United States. There is one near our home here in central Florida and my son---the one getting married this Saturday--- bought two tables and invited our entire family and a few of his friends to go with he and his fiance'. It was a very fancy event and Kara Dio Guardi ( singer, song writer and American Idol judge!!!) was the featured guest! It was awesome! Kara is so adorable, so funny, so petite, so down to earth, so gracious, and an amazing singer---such a tiny person with a HUGE voice! She sang two songs---amazing---and spent tons of time socializing and signing autographs. So differant than I expected. Phoenix House is her passion and she is raising money to put music labs/studios in the facilities for the clients to find themselves through music. If you can't tell, I was impressed and so thankful for her giving spirit!
Sunday afternoon I went to a Bridal Shower for my VERY soon to be daughter-in-law (did I say the wedding is THIS Saturday!!! :-) ?) I made today's card for her! Also gave her the silver charm bracelet that I made with all the bridesmaid's names on it. She loved it!

Card Recipe:
  • Stamps:Bride-Stamping Bella, and Sentiment-Stampin'Up
  • Papers:CS-Bazzill and DP-Recollections Brown Houndstooth and Making Memories
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Ribbon: May Arts and Michael's
  • Bling: K and Company
  • Nestibilities: Round and Scalloped Round
  • Copic Markers: R0000, V0000, C1, R00, E93, RV21
  • Stickles: Stardust

Thank you so much for stopping by today---I appreciate it so much!!!

"Close To Your Heart" Bracelet

Hi Everyone! Just to show you "another" thing I've been working on!!! I've started a jewelry business called "Close To Your Heart Jewelry". I've admired these metal stamping bracelets and necklaces for a long time and decided I could make them! Well here is one I've made. This is for my granddaughter's pre-school teacher's gift. It has a charm from each child saying a word or two about her w/ their initials on "their" charm and the teacher's charm in the middle w/ her name and the year. I've also made Mother's Day ones w/ the children or grandchildren saying something about the mom or grandmother. I'm making one today for my daughter-in-law to be w/ her bridesmaids names on each one with her name on the middle one and the wedding date. I think the possibilities are endless---retirements, farewells, new moms, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., etc.!!! Also plan on making necklaces for those who don't like bracelets or only want one charm. They are completely sterling silver and where I've used crystal beads (birthstones) I use Swarovski crystals. Please let me know what you think!!

Craft Room Finally Finished!!!

Good Morning everyone!!! As you can see from my pictures,my craft room is finally put together!!! I am so happy to have it done! I bought all the furniture at Ikea in Orlando at a really decent price (I think!!!) and put ALL the pieces together myself! None of it was hard, but a bit time consuming. My husband hung the box shelves because they were very heavy. I ordered the cubbies for my Copics and ink pads (6 of them) from Studio 3 Solutions.
I still have a little "tweaking " to do, but all in all I'm done!
Eventually I'll have bunk beds in this room too for my two grandchildren when we have sleep-overs, so it is a shared, multi-purpose room!
Con't on next post!

Craft Room FINALLY Finished!!! part 2

A few more pics of final product!!! I'm so happy it's done and MAYBE I can get back to crafting soon!
Have a great Day!
God Bless!

Work in Progress

As I've mentioned recently, I'm redoing my craft room and thought I'd post my progression/mess! It's coming along and I'll post final results when I'm done! As you can see thebaby bed in background, it's a multipurpose room. I'm just happy to have "a space" !!!Posted by Picasa

Easter Cutie

Good Morning Everyone!!!
I have not been here in awhile due to craft room re-construction (and not knowing where ANYTHING is!), and all the wedding (May 1st!) preparations but I just had to post this picture of my beautiful, AWESOME granddaughter Halsey, on Easter. She is almost 5 and one of the best things in my life (her brother and their cousin are the other two best things!!!).
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
God Bless!
