Spooky Spider

I for one am going to be very sad when I can't post Halloween cards anymore! I know some people don't celebrate this holiday believing it to be evil and satanic, but I love it if it's all fun, candy, and little ones dressed up in their cute costumes. My grandchildren just enjoy it so much!
Anywho, my card today is very similar to one I saw on Cindy Lawrence's blog and thinking it was so cute, I took the liberty to make a similar one. Hope she does not mind! She does awesome work!

Card Recipe
No Stamps used; Sentiment computer generated
Paper: CS- Bazzill, DP- My Mind's Eye "The Spider's Web" collection ---"Pumpkin Patch"
Twine and Ribbon: May Arts
Spider: Martha Stewart Sticker with black glitter added
Spider Web: Recollections Border Stickers with black glitter added

That's it for me today---thanks for taking time to stop by today and please do again soon---I LOVE your comments!
Hugs and God Bless!

Spooky Nite Easel Card, ADFD Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! Has this week gone by fast or what? Where does the time go, I wonder. Most days it feels like there are not enough hours in the day!
Today my card is for the third Friday of the month A Day For Daisies challenge # 4 "As much black as possible!". I tried something a little different---an Easel Card and I used vellum in the oval after printing the "Spooky Tree" digital image and embossing it with black embossing powder. It looks a bit wrinkled at the top of the vellum in this photo, but it really isn't. Then I placed a battery operated tea light behind it. I think the light behind the tree gave a nice warm glow. I borrowed this idea (with permission) from Bonnie from Priceless Scrapbooks and More. She made a beautiful Christmas card like this. The challenge is for us to use "as much black as possible" which would usually be kinda hard, but because it's Halloween time, it was alot easier. I had to use a touch of orange to give it a little punch! :-)
Card Recipe
Papers: CS-Bazzill, DP-K*I Memories Pop Culture "Wing Ding", and Doodlebug Design "Tuxedo Dot"
Ribbon: May Arts Halloween collection
Gel Sentiment and Orange Disk: Gel Candy by K*I Memories "Haunted Shapes"
Page Pin Up: 4 in. Baroque Black by Karen Foster Design (hard to see in photo---pinned through orange ribbon knot)
Nestibilities: Oval and Scallopped Oval
Hope you enjoyed today's card---it proved to be a bit challenging putting all the layers together and making sure it all lined up well---but I LOVE how it turned out! Please jump over to A Day For Daisies, see the other DT entries, and give this challenge a try as well---the more the merrier!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs and God Bless!

Spooky Night

It's Monday again! How was your weekend? Mine was busy (as usual!). I taught a Bow Tying class at my LSS --- Priceless Scrapbooks and More with Bonnie who taught paper flower making. It was lots of fun and hopefully everyone learned some new techniques! Also had 2 grands (ages 3 and 5) spend the nite with me last nite which was so much fun---and busy! LOL!
Speaking of Priceless Scrapbooks and More---I learned Friday that I've been chosen to be on their first Design Team! WHOO HOO! Go to Priceless Scrapbooks and More blog to see more.
Today's card was made early this year when I went to the brayer class taught by Michelle Zindorf---what a great teacher she is! Since this card is more Fall looking, I saved it till now.
Card Recipe
All products are StampinUp
Please visit Michelle's blog: Freedom In Creating to see her tutorials. I could never explain her techniques like she can! If you get a chance to take her classes, please go! You'll love it! I did!
Thanks for taking the time to stop here today---please do so again soon!
