Pretty In Pink

Hi Fellow Stampers! How is everyone doing this week? As usual, I'm crazy busy but all good stuff!
My husband and kids gave me a great birthday party/dinner Sat. nite. It was soooo fun. Only family (which is the way I wanted it) and my daughter did a great job of putting it all together. This is a BIG one (60), so she put a video together of tons of family and friends pics and my 5 yr. old granddaughter's pictures set to great music. It was so sentimental! I'll cherish it forever!!
But it's not really my birthday yet---it's Thursday Dec. 2nd but my daughter and I are going to NYC Wed. thur Sat. to celebrate (hey it's pretty nice turning 60---lots of great things happen!) and then my husband is flying up and he and I are staying till Wed. the 8th. Soooo I have lots to do to get ready in this already crazy, busy season!
My card today is a pink snowman---I love to do non-traditional colors at Christmas. I think he is so darn cute!

Card Recipe
Stamps: Stanpendous and Penny Black
Papers: CS-Bazzill, DP-Unknown
Ink: memento Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: May Arts
Glitter: Stickles Stardust
Bling: K and Company
Border Punch: Martha Stewart
Copics:RV21, RV06, RV04, YG00, YG03, YG23, Spica Glitter Pen in Gold

Thanks for stopping by today and come back soon!

Flowers in Green

Posted by Picasa
TGIF!!! What a WONDERFUL, VERY BUSY week! VBS has been a huge success and we had a total of 248 kids---way beyond anyone's expectations. It made for alot of shuffling around, adding more classrooms, begging for more volunteers, buying lots more snacks, etc., etc. God was VERY good and like I said Monday---"If God brings them, He'll provide for them" and He did!
On to other things: I made today's card a few weeks ago for an Intermediate Copic class I taught. The class wanted to learn about airbrushing so thus the reason for this card. We airbrushed on the larger white rectangle with three colors of green Copic markers, then sprayed the stamp with Blender Solution and quickly stamped the image (so as to not let blender solution dry out) and after lifting up the stamp, the ink was removed and left the flower image. I loved how this turned out. Also like the monotone effect of this card.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Flower-Stampendous, SentimentHero Arts
Paper: CS-Bazzill, DP-Deja' Views "Banana"
Ink: Memento Bamboo Leaves
Ribbon: Michael's
Button: JoAnns Fabrics
Border Punch: Martha Stewart
Copic Markers: YG23, YG63, G94
I sent this card to one of my neighbors that relandscaped her yard this year and it's so pretty and I wanted her to know how much I enjoy going by her yard every day. Hope she liked it!
Hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing weekend and thanks for coming by today!
Hugs and God Bless!

I'm Back---I think!!!

Bear and Bailey

Good Tuesday morning fellow stampers!
First of all I'd like to thank you all for being patient with me for such a long time! First before and during my son's wedding and then the week after during our adored 5 year old Yorkie Bama's injury, surgery and so sadly, his death. The surgery went well, but the next day, he got pneumonia and was never able to recover due to his paralysis. On that 3rd day, we made the painful decision to let him go---he did not deserve to suffer anymore. Needless to say we are both heartbroken---he was such an joyful addition to our lives and will never be replaced! BUT in our grief, we lost our minds and got two (that's right not one, but two) 8 week old Yorkie puppies!!! :-). They are brother and sister and we named them "Bear" (from Bama's name you might have guessed DH is an Alabama graduate) and this name is after Bear Bryant, a famous, loved Ala. coach and Bailey---cause it starts with a "B". LOL! They are so cute and weigh 2 # each. Thus far they've been pretty easy. I'm trying to paper train them so if anyone has any good advice, please let me know!
I'm starting to get some creative juices flowing again and actually taught an intermediate Copic class last week and today's and Wednesday's cards are what I did for the class.
Card Recipe:

Stamp: Magnolia Tilda with Flowers

Paper: DP:BasicGrey "Green at Heart", CS: Bazzill

Ribbon: Michael's

Stickles: Stardust

Copic Markers: R00, E00, YR00, RV10, RV23, E11, Y11,Y15, E33, W3, W5, RV21, RV10, R32, C3, YG03, YG63, B96, V12, V06 (a bunch!)

Have a great day everyone and see you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by today!

Baby Boy Blessings

Good Monday Morning everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I'm sorry I haven't been around as much lately but life has been crazy---I'm sure you all can relate!
As far as the weekend, mine was really good! I taught my first Copic Class at my local stamping store Priceless Scrapbooks and More. It went really well and I think everyone there got their
" appetites wet" for everything Copic! LOL---they don't know what they are in for!!! Stamping will never be the same! I hope to teach at least one class a month there. But I forgot to take any pictures!!! Oh well... I also went to IKEA in Orlando and got all the parts and pieces for redoing my craft room! I'm so excited! They have the best stuff, a huge variety, and great prices! Now to take down the old and put all the new together! Pictures of the demolition to follow!
My card today is one I made last year for my beautiful 15 month old grandson Mark's Baptism. There is no better reason to make a card!
Card Recipe:
  • Stamps-Bunny in Carriage-Inky Antics by Tammy DeYoung and Sentiment-Printworks Collection
  • Paper-CS- Hobby Lobby
  • Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Ribbon- May Arts
  • Buttons- JoAnne Fabrics
  • Embossing Folder- Dots by Cuttlebug by Provo Craft
  • Nestibilities- Oval and Scalloped Oval

Purple Hydrangeas

Good Monday morning! Hope all is well in your world and that you all had a great weekend.Thank you all for being patient with me last week when I went to Savannah for the Neonatal/Perinatal conference. I just did not have time to post! Savannah was great (and pretty cold!)
Today is a new day and my card is a purple hydrangea which is significant to me because my #2 son is getting married May 1st and the decorations are purple hydrangeas. Purple is such a beautiful color and I've always loved it even when it was not fashionable unless you were an "older" woman---I guess I am an "older" woman, uh? LOL

Stamp Recipe:

  • Stamps:Inkadinkado and American Art Stamps
  • Paper: My Mind's Eye and CS-Hobby Lobby
  • Ink: StazOn Royal Purple and Memento Bamboo Leaves
  • Ribbon: Michael's
  • Border Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Stickles:Grape Ice
  • Circle Cutter: Cutter Bee

Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

So Sweet!

Good Morning! Hope this finds all of you well and MAYBE having some signs of spring. This has been a really tough winter for all our friends up north (we've even had a chilly, long winter here in Florida---for us). I remember so well when I lived in the mountains of southern WVa how much I longed for spring to get here. Todays card makes me think of warm weather and things finally growing. I really like how it turned out. I think most anyone would love to get this card and then know how you feel about them!

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Flourishes by Marcella Hawley
  • Papers:Paper Studio and Lizzie Dot Paisley
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Border Punch:Fiscars
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Nestibilities: Oval and Labels Four
  • Copic markers: R22, R05, R17, YR23, YG03, YG67, G85

Thanks for stopping by today and remember THINK SPRING! Till tomorrow...
