Thanks Very Much

Good Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for another week (it's here so we might as well make the best of it!).

Today's card "feels" like Easter to me even though it's a Thank You card. I love this stamp set by Flourishes---they have such beautiful, quality products! These colors are a little deeper than I usually use, but I do like the way it turned out.

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: "Signs of Spring" by Marcella Hawley for Flourishes and Sentiment unknown
  • Paper: Urban Couture by Basic Grey
  • Border Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Ribbon: Michael's
  • Bling: K and Company
  • Copic Markers: E93, E95, YR07, E47, YG03, G94, BG96

Once again "THANKS VERY MUCH" for stopping by By the "C" and I wish you a beautiful day!

So Sweet!

Good Morning! Hope this finds all of you well and MAYBE having some signs of spring. This has been a really tough winter for all our friends up north (we've even had a chilly, long winter here in Florida---for us). I remember so well when I lived in the mountains of southern WVa how much I longed for spring to get here. Todays card makes me think of warm weather and things finally growing. I really like how it turned out. I think most anyone would love to get this card and then know how you feel about them!

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Flourishes by Marcella Hawley
  • Papers:Paper Studio and Lizzie Dot Paisley
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Border Punch:Fiscars
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Nestibilities: Oval and Labels Four

Night On The Lake

Good Tuesday morning! Today I have the second card from the Brayer Class I took this past weekend in Jacksonville from Michelle Zindorf. I can't say enough what a GREAT class it was! If you want to know more about the technique of brayering, be sure to go to Michelle's blog. It's amazing how much time and effort she puts into her tutorials. She is a born teacher. She said I was a brayer"virgin" so I think I did pretty well all things considered!!! LOL!
Card Recipe:
  • All supplies are from Stampin'Up

I appreciate your visiting my blog today and please stop back by tomorrow!

God Bless!

A Winter Night

i
Happy Monday morning! Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did! As I told you on Friday, I attended a Brayer Class in Jacksonville from Michelle Zindorf. What a FANTASTIC class that was! To be honest I'd never done much brayering and wasn't too impressed because my result didn't turn out very well. Well was I in for a pleasant surprise!!! What a differance when you take a class from an expert! Michelle was so down to earth, had such a sense of humor, and is so amazingly talented! The class was three hours long, we made three cards, and I could not believe how much we learned. AND this was a beginner's class. I really hope to take an advanced class someday.
Card Recipe:
  • All supplies are from Stampin'Up

I'll have another card from the class tomorrow. If this style appeals to you, go to Michelle Zindorf's blog. She has hundreds of very detailed tutorials there to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Till tomorrow...

God Bless!

Easter Blessings-Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 17

Today I'm posting an entry for Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 17. The rules for this challenge are to use Yellow, Gray, Cream and Chocolate. I found this to be a little difficult because I usually work with pinks, purples, aquas, etc. But I must say I do like the results. The photo distorted the colors a bit---they are really a little bit softer and more subtle.
Card Recipe:
  • Stamps: SonLight Impressions and Judith
  • Papers: Ivory Damask by K and Co,. foof*a*la by Creativity, Inc., and Bazzil
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink (sponged over entire image to tone it down a bit)
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Border Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Foam Tape
  • Copic Markers: see above photo for markers used

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! Have a good rest of today.

CELEBRATE---Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge # 18

This morning my card is my very first entry in Mo's Digital Pencil's Clean and Simple Challenge # 18. The rules for this clean and simple card were to use a Mo's Digital image (of course) on a piece of white or cream CS with no embellishments at all eccept one ribbon and no layers. I think we all overdo sometimes and it's actually hard to take it down a notch. I absolutely love the Mo's Digital images---they are all so darn cute and so well done!
Card Recipe:
  • Mo's Digital Image "Abby Celebrating"
  • CS: Georgia Pacific Image Plus Card Stock 110 lb
  • Ink: StazOn Royal Purple for sentiment
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Stckles: Stardust and Grape Ice
  • Copic Markers: see above photo for markers I used

TIP: As indicated above, I used GP Image Plus Card Stock 110 lb. from Sam's Club to print my image on the printer and then "heat-set" it to ensure no smearing.

If you haven't already, go to Mo's Digital Pencil and see all the fantastic images they offer! I think you will be pleased (and the prices are great too

!

This weekend I'm taking a Brayer Class in Jacksonville given by Michelle Zindorf. I know nothing about braying so hopefully I'll bring back some good tips next week. I'm going with Jean and Lisa---two friends from StampTV Florida group. It ought to be lots of fun!

Thanks for taking a look today and have a good weekend. Til Monday...

Miss You!

Hi y'all. Hope you are keeping warm. It's 32 degrees in central Florida this morning, BUT it's finally starting to warm up during the days now so hopefully our friends up north will get a reprieve soon from this harsh winter. Speaking of up north, I have only one sister that lives far away who I miss so very much so that is the thought behind today's card. The colors look reddish in the photo but are really more burgandy and look better in real life I think.

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Stampin' Up, Art Impressions
  • Paper: Hobby Lobby
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sky sponged with Aqua by ColorBox
  • Nestibilities: Oval, Scalloped Oval, Labels
  • Copic Markers: C5, C7, E57, E77, R59, YG63, E33

Thank you for stopping by today and thanks again for all your prayers! Till tomorrow...

God Bless!

The Pink Elephant Challenge---Welcome Baby Ethan

Hi Everybody! I'm just crazy about babies (LOVED dolls as a little girl, am a mother of 4, "Mimi" of 3, was a nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care!). So you see I really am crazy about babies! My dear friend and walking partner of 11 years, Becky, just had her first grandson---or rather her daughter did! :-). His name is Ethan and he was a whopping 8 pounds and his Mom weighs about 100 pounds soaking wet! Thus the reason for this card. His room is nautical so that was my theme. Hope you enjoy! I'm also entering this card in The Pink Elephant Weekly Challenge---"a card using ribbon".

  • Paper: Showoffs for daisyd's and Hobby Lobby CS
  • Ink: Memento Danube Blue

Purple Butterfly

Change is HARD!!! How many can relate? I know that I'm a creature of habit and I tend to get really secure in my own little world, but things do change. Thinking of change in relationship to a butterfly helps me accept change a little easier (sometimes) LOL. Todays card says just that!
Card Recipe:
  • Stamps: Butterfly-Inkadinkado, Sentiment- unknown (if anyone knows, please tell me)
  • Paper: My Mind's Eye
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Nestibilities: Labels
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Border Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Stickles: Stardust on wings and sentiment
  • Copic Markers: V12, V15, V17

Today my prescious, beautiful 2 1/2 yr. old grandson Bryce is having eye surgery to hopefully correct Accomodative Esotropia (severe crossing of both eyes due to weakened muscles). He's been wearing bifocals since he was 1 and may still have to wear single focal glasses after the surgery. I thank God every day that he can see and I ask for your prayers today for Bryce, his Mom (my daughter), and his Dad. Thank You! I'll let you know tomorrow how everyone is doing...

God Bless!

Wild Thing!

It's Monday AGAIN! Where did the weekend go??? I did yard work all day Saturday (after neglecting it for a long time) and I'm sore all over!!! LOL
Today's card is a masculine Valentine. We always think of Valentines as "girly" but that's not quite fair, is it?
Card Recipe:
  • Stamps: Art Gone Wild! "Gentle Giraffe"
  • Papers: The Paper Studio
  • Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug Dots
  • Nestibilities: Round and Labels (not sure which #)
  • Bling: K and Co.
  • Border Punch: Fiskars
  • Copics:BG96, E35, E08, BV23, C7, RV04

TIP: Speaking of Copics, did you know that on the Ciaos the BRUSH end is identified by the GRAY ring right below the cap? For the longest time, I was constantly taking lids off to see which end was what until Asela Hopins told me that in one of her classes! Oh for the little things in life!!!

That's all for today! See you tomorrow!

Feb. Designing D.I.V.A.S. Challenge Valentine Love

Copic Markers used on this card

Posted by Picasa Today's card is my interpretation of Annie B'c Splitcoast Stampers Designing D.I.V.A.S. Feb. Challenge. I took a little liberty and used ribbon across card instead of strips of words and I used Tilda by Magnolia stamps on the circle instead of a heart (Tilda's holding a heart shaped balloon afterall!) and I put my sentiment in the lower right corner. Tilda is so darn cute, I just HAD to use her! LOL

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Magnolia Stamps
  • Paper: Bo Bunny
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Ribbon: Michael's
  • Nestibilities: Round and Scallopped Round
  • Stickles: Grape Ice on purple balloon; Frosted Lace on Tilda's pentifore; Diamond on wings, lace on clothing and on pink balloon
  • I used foam tape to elevate the large round area and sentiment to make them stand out more
  • Copic Markers: see above

Have a great Sunday everyone---see you tomorrow!

Thanks!

Hope all is well with you and your week has been good!
Today I have a really easy, simple card, but I think it makes a big impack. Sometimes I think we all go overboard with our cards when simple might be better! Especially when we are running out of time.

  • Stamp: Stampin' Up
  • Paper: Basic Gray
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Ribbon: Hobby Lobby

Bless This Baby

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a good, good weekend! They do go by fast don't they? My daughter and I gave a baby shower for one of her friends on Saturday afternoon. It rained really hard all day Saturday, but it didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits.
I made this card for the mom-to-be and her baby girl Chloe. The inside verse is so darn sweet---it says: "Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body". Isn't that so tender? It is a Stampabilities stamp. It was a good day!
Card recipe:
  • Stamps: PrintWorks Collection, Inky Antics, and Stampabilities
  • Papers: Lollia by Margot Elena and Making Memories
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Ribbon: May Arts
  • Nestibilities: Scalloped Oval, Oval, and Labels Five
  • Bling: K and Co.
  • Copic markers: RV02, RV04, RV14, Y02, Y15, V12, V06, V15, C-5 and Spica Clear
  • Stickles Glitter Glue: Star Dust

Babies are such a wonderful gift from God and I'm glad I had a part in making little Chloe's arrival special! Have a great Monday! See you tomorrow.
